To start go into the campaign and sequence you want to add the goal to. While in the chosen sequence, click on the goals tab and click, "ADD GOAL". Goals and triggers can be very similar, the main difference is once someone has completed the goal you can set it up to have the user pulled from the sequence or added to a new one since they have completed the "goal"
There are three types of goals you can make:
Pixel: Can add/remove someone to a sequence/tag based on the pages they visit on your page.
Keyword: Can add/remove someone to a sequence/tag based on the message they reply with.
Tag: Can place tag on user showing they have completed the goal and sequence. This way you know who has gone through sequences and who hasnt.
Pixel Goal:
Goal Name: you can name this whatever you would like. We try to name stuff according to the goal for future reference.
Apply goals for traffic that meets the following criteria:
Two options here:
URL Contains Any Of The Following: This allows you to be lenient with what page they visit, maybe it encompasses multiple pages.
URL Equals: This one is not lenient. Unless the user goes to this exact URL then they will not complete the goal.
Additional Actions: Here you can either add/remove a tag as well as add to a new sequence, or just remove the user from the sequence.
Keyword Goal
Goal Name: you can name this whatever you would like. Once again we try to name stuff according to the goal for future reference.
Apply goals for traffic that meets the following criteria:
Three options here:
Message is: Has to be exact. As long as the message contains these keywords and only these keywords, then the goal will be completed.
Message Contains. This option is lenient, as long as somewhere in the message it contains these keywords then the goal will be completed.
Message Begins With: This option is lenient as well. As long as the beginning of their message contains these keywords then the goal will be completed.
Additional Actions: Here you can either add/remove a tag as well as add to a new sequence, or just remove the user from the sequence.
Tag Goal:
Goal Name: you can name this whatever you would like. Once again we try to name stuff according to the goal for future reference.
Apply tags for goal: When the user has these tags applied, then the goal will be completed.
